The Oak tree, also known as the genus Quercus, is commonly found in the north eastern region. The leaf characteristics are spirally arranged leaves with round and deeply indented margins. Another characteristic that Oak leaves may have is a smooth leaf, with a margin notched like a saw with pointy teeth. The Oak produces a flower in the spring season known as Catkins. Some Oak species also produce acorns that can hold 1 seed within its cupule. Depending on the species, it can take an acorn about 6-18 months to fully mature.
