Trees have a lifecycle which Clearview Tree and Land is very familiar with, as we properly care, preserve, and plant trees. Generally, when planting trees in Nassau County (ex. Merrick, Jericho, East Meadow, Farmingdale, West Babylon, Carle Place, etc.) trees should be planted when in there young life stages during the early fall season (early October) or early spring season (late March) preferably. Young trees do not have a developed root system to tap deep into the soils water or create stability needed throughout the harsh and windy conditions during the winter season. As a result of the poor root development, we are sure to substantially irrigate young, freshly planted trees. Also, they are not protected by thick bark or fissures, which normally form throughout the maturing stages of a trees life cycle. This bark is what helps protect the tree from small animals, such as rabbits, from gnawing away at the tree and exposing the inner wood. Clearview Tree and Land offers tree wrapping to help protect your young tree from weathering effects and possible damage that may occur from animals.
