When a homeowner removes a city tree, with a permit, it is often requested by the NYC Parks Department that a new tree is planted in its place or elsewhere. If the homeowner decides not to plant a tree, then there is a restitution payment the city requires. When a construction company is requested to plant several city trees, they look to hire a tree company to complete the work. Clearview Tree and Land is one of the companies used in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Long Island.
Our company has been providing tree services, including city tree planting, for over 15 years. The process of city tree planting includes a Clearview Tree and Land expert providing the client with a free estimate, then upon approval of the estimate, filing a tree planting permit with the NYC Parks Department. The permit approval process can take 2-4 weeks. Once the permit has been approved the tree(s) can be planted any time during the planting season. There are two planting seasons which are the Spring planting season, March 1st-May 31s,t and the Fall planting season, October 1st- December 31st.
